VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
MEDA considers anyone who is not employed as a full-time
economic developer as a volunteer. For the purposes
of this Award, nominees will be considered for their
involvement on a particular economic development project
during the previous calendar year or their work with
an economic development organization over a period of
years not necessarily limited to one project or one
year.
Nominations for Volunteer of the Year are made by MEDA
members to the Awards Committee, which then makes a
recommendation to the President. The President will
submit the name for vote by the MEDA Board of Directors.
The Volunteer will submit the name for vote by the MEDA
Board of Directors. The Volunteer will be invited to
attend the MEDA Annual Conference.

INSTRUCTIONS
- Each award submission has a three (3) page double
spaced maximum (approximately 750 words).
- You may nominate more than one (1) individual.
- Complete and submit online form (below). You may
either paste your "reason for nomination"
into the space provided or e-mail your submissions
to : info@medamd.com
- Deadline: January 25, 2008

- Unpaid position elected or appointed
- Years of service in the Maryland Economic Development
community
- Service to the community and/or specific economic
development agency/activity
- Leadership skills demonstrated
- Special achievements
