The Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) is seeking a Director of Workforce Development whose role will be to leverage CCAM’s resources and industry contacts to help regional partners establish an industry-centric, high performance workforce that makes Southern and Southwest Virginia the site of choice for advanced manufacturing firms. The Director of Workforce Development will work closely with CCAM’s Director of Economic Development to ensure that companies’ comprehensive needs are addressed. CCAM is projected to have more than 30 member companies, making it a strong base through which to attract companies to locate in the Virginia Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission Tobacco Commission (TIC) footprint. The founding and organizing partners consist of; Rolls-Royce North America, the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, Canon, Chromalloy, Newport News Shipbuilding, Sandvik Coromant, and Siemens.

CCAM is looking for an individual who has successfully led a workforce development plan focused on the technology/manufacturing industries. This requires:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s desired.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Candidates must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance within 24 months of employment.
