PUBLISHES 2008 BUSINESS & INDUSTRY DIRECTORY, 2008
ECONOMIC DATA SUMMARY
(Hagerstown, MD – February 26, 2008) – Searching
for a particular business or industry in Washington
County? Looking for a concise and accurate picture
of the local economy? The Hagerstown-Washington
County Economic Development Commission (EDC) provides
this important information through two publications,
the Business and Industry Directory and the Economic
Data Summary. Today, the EDC released the 2008
editions of both documents.
The 2008 Business & Industry Directory is a comprehensive
guide to businesses located within Washington County.
Profiling nearly 500 businesses, the directory provides
contact names, addresses, phone numbers, products and
services, numbers of employees and more. The guide
also provides a list of the top 25 employers as well
as a listing of all international companies located
within Washington County.
“The Business & Industry Directory is a great
resource for the local community as well as for businesses
exploring expansion options in Washington County.
Organized by NAICS (North American Industry Classification
System) codes, it provides important details about our
county’s existing business community,” said
Timothy R. Troxell, CEcD, EDC Executive Director.
The 2008 Economic Data Summary is a compilation of
statistics detailing population, income, labor, transportation,
utilities, health and safety, education, taxes, and
more for Washington County.
“The Economic Data Summary contains much of the
information the EDC utilizes when working with businesses
wishing to expand in Washington County. This resource
is like no other when it comes to providing an accurate,
easy to understand synopsis of the business climate
found in Washington County,” said Troxell.
The 2008 Business & Industry Directory and the
2008 Economic Data Summary are distributed free-of-charge.
