Tim Troxell’s employment background has been closely tied to the economic development sector. He began his career with an electric utility company (Potomac Edison/Allegheny Energy) and spent the majority of his time working in their Economic Development and Major Accounts departments. He then moved on to become Director of Business Development for a general contractor and developer that specialized in commercial and industrial construction. Mr. Troxell became Assistant Director for the Hagerstown-Washington County Economic Development Commission (EDC) in 1998, and became the Executive Director of the EDC in 2002.
Mr. Troxell is a graduate of Frostburg State University with B.S. degrees in both Business Administration and Economics. He obtained an MBA from Hood College in Frederick, and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute. In 1999, he earned the professional designation of Certified Economic Developer from the International Economic Development Council. Mr. Troxell holds professional memberships in the International Economic Development Council and the Southern Economic Development Council.
