In today’s hyper-competitive economic landscape\, talent has emerged as a key differentiator in business location and expansion decisions. As demographics shift\, remote work reshapes expectations\, and workers increasingly prioritize quality of life alongside career opportunities\, economic developers must rethink their approach to community building. The communities that thrive in this new reality will be those that understand talent attraction isn’t just about jobs—it’s about creating places where people genuinely want to live\, work\, and raise families. \nClick here to view the Draft Minutes from the 2025 Summer Conference Business Meeting. \nClick here to read the guest blog. \nSponsor the 2025 MEDA Fall Conference\nClick here to view the sponsorship tiers. Through the Ascend WV initiative\, the state is embracing its greatest strengths—its people\, places\, and world-class outdoors—to attract new residents\, spark innovation\, and build lasting momentum. SUMMARY:2022 Maryland Manufacturing Celebration
DESCRIPTION:RMI’s 2022 Maryland Manufacturing Celebration will be a festive night celebrating our organization’s 32+ years of serving Maryland’s manufacturing industry and honoring those who have supported our organization’s efforts along the way. We’ll recognize not only the 2022 Champions of Maryland Manufacturing and the State’s many manufacturers and leaders of business\, government\, education and the community who are part of Maryland’s manufacturing “family.” And perhaps most exciting of all\, we will recognize RMI’s President Dr. Mike Galiazzo as the 2022 Grand Champion for his leadership over RMI’s 32 year history. It’s been a while since we’ve been able to come together in person. So join us for this high-energy\, top-of-class evening as we gather hundreds of Maryland’s manufacturing industry stakeholders to celebrate each other and the remarkable journey we’ve had together over the years! \nAttendance at this special event is via purchase of a table of 8 as a Silver Sponsor for $1\,800. Sponsorship includes exposure through the Celebration event as well as the Champions of Maryland Manufacturing program. Reserve your Silver Sponsorship/table of 8 here. \nEvent Format: This event will feature a different format than RMI’s traditional Signature events. Because it’s been so long since we have been able to host a large group in person\, we thought you might appreciate more time to network with each other. Therefore\, we will have networking\, food stations and an open bar available for two hours followed by a one hour program.  \n\n5:30-7:30 PM     Networking\, Open Bar\, Dinner via Buffet Food Stations (Attendees may network\, eat while networking or take a seat a their designated tables to eat during this time. The food stations and bar will close at 7:30 PM.)\n7:30-8:30 PM    Program\, Dessert & Coffee (All attendees will be seated at their designated tables.)
