SUMMARY:Solving the Cybersecurity Talent Gap in Maryland
DESCRIPTION:Cybersecurity is critical to modern society\, protecting people\, businesses\, and governments from malicious actors. This creates an urgent need for qualified talent to fill these roles – and a tremendous opportunity for learners and workers to step into high-growth\, high-wage jobs in the cybersecurity field. \nIn this webinar\, you’ll learn how TEDCO (Maryland Technology Development Corporation) and Lightcast worked together to map Maryland’s cybersecurity talent landscape and outline strategic steps to bridge the talent gap. Discover how data played a key role in quantifying and illuminating the need for cyber-talent in Maryland\, and see how TEDCO is using the study to guide its strategic cyber-workforce development efforts. \nThe webinar will include key takeaways from the recently released “Cybersecurity Workforce Analysis & Strategy” report\, as well as guidance for thinking about and tracking your own workforce development efforts in this sector (or other emerging sectors). All registrants will receive a copy of the recording and slide deck.
