The Lean Manufacturing course will provide a foundation on the principles of Lean Manufacturing as well as the framework to apply these lessons within their production environment. Lean Office will take the same Lean Manufacturing concepts and help organizations apply them to the front office environment\, focusing on improvements to the sales\, administration and front office activities that often cause delays\, overruns and excess work for companies. Finally\, the maintenance management program offering will help companies apply Lean concepts and training to the maintenance activities within the organization. \nEach course will meet 2x per week over a 4-week period for a total of 8 sessions. DESCRIPTION:Your company’s leaders have the significant responsibility of providing a safe workplace for their employees. But while recognizing and preventing injuries is essential for all employees\, supervisors also have obligations to maintain detailed records and undertake reporting to avoid infractions. Managers are also accountable for correcting safety concerns before they turn into preventable accidents. OSHA won’t accept “I didn’t know” or “that’s not my responsibility” as a resolution\, nor will it provide any solace to an injured worker or their family. Do your leaders readily know what their safety responsibilities are? \nOverview \nThe 30-hour course is a comprehensive safety program and is intended for supervisors\, safety directors\, and lead workers with safety responsibilities. DESCRIPTION:Description \nThe Maryland World Class Consortia’s Lean Peer Groups\, in partnership with MD MEP\, are designed to help participant organizations build active cultures of continuous improvement. \nThe peer group approach provides a unique and powerful way to share experiences and learn from others. \nParticipating company leaders from across the region work together to refine and reenergize their continuing Lean Transformations by networking with\, and learning from\, others in the regional group who are committed to developing a Lean culture.  Lean Peer Group members assess their current conditions\, learn how to address improvement opportunities\, share experiences and information\, learn from MWCC staff and guest speakers\, and learn from other participants. \nLean Peer Groups are open to MWCC member organizations\, as well as to non-members. Lean Peer Group participation includes a one-year complementary membership in the Maryland World Class Consortia. \nLean Peer Group Details \nWhen: The Lean Peer Group – Frederick / Washington Counties start date will depend on when the group is filled. \nCost: \nThis training is eligible for MD MEP’s Incumbent Worker Training Funds which can help offset up to 50% of the training costs. \n$2\,000 – MWCC current member company\, plus lunch when hosting the meeting.\n$3\,000 – MWCC non-member company\, plus lunch when hosting the meeting. \n\nIncludes 10 monthly\, 1⁄2 day meetings at participant companies\, training\, best practice discussions and facility tours. Registration also includes a complementary one-year membership in the Maryland World Class Consortia!\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister: Participation is limited to 9 companies; competitors will not be included in the same group.
