Maryland Planning Commissioners Association (MPCA) Regional Workshop

The Maryland Planning Commissioners Association (MPCA) started a regional workshop initiative several years ago and has hosted events throughout Maryland to provide opportunities for regional collaboration, citizen planner training, and networking.

On November 12, join MPCA president Roxanne Hemphill for a presentation on “Nuts and Bolts,” outlining how to serve on a planning commission/board, board of zoning appeals, or local historic commission.

Bill Swiatek, AICP, from the Wilmington Area Planning Council (WILMAPCO) will give a briefing on two transportation corridor studies completed with municipal partners in 2024 and 2025.

Joe Griffiths, Director of Planning Best Practices at the Maryland Department of Planning, will discuss recent Maryland housing legislation.
