Placemaking and the Role of Towson University

Towson University Economic Outlook Forum

  • This event has passed.

Join TU President Kim Schatzel, community members, and business leaders at this year’s Economic Outlook Forum. The discussion will focus on Towson University’s placemaking strategy and how it relates to business and economic development in Towson and Greater Baltimore.

TU Regional Economic Studies Institute Chief Economist Daraius Irani, Ph.D., presents an in-depth look at the state of our economy and how current economic and political forces impact our region.

A comprehensive placemaking strategy is being developed that focuses on strengthening the connectivity between TU, surrounding communities, core institutions, and emerging businesses. State, local, and university leaders will provide insight on this plan before breaking into focus groups. Your participation will help to identify issues that are important to building a stronger, more sustainable community.

We expect to reach capacity, so please register promptly. The Economic Outlook Forum is offered free of charge. Breakfast and parking are provided.
