RMI Tribute to Champions of Maryland Manufacturing

The Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland (RMI) invites MEDA members to submit nominees for Maryland Manufacturing champions for their dedication to advancing Maryland manufacturing. The nominees will be celebrated November 30 at Martin’s West at RMI’s Tribute to Champions of Maryland Manufacturing, showcasing the diversity, vibrancy, and innovation of Maryland manufacturing and the impact that the industry has on the quality of life in our communities. Help tell the story of who we are as manufacturing state, what we do, and why we are vital for Maryland’s future economic growth. This RMI tribute, in partnership with the Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), will chronical our Champions’ stories over dinner Wednesday, November 30, 2016, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 p.m. at Martin’s West, 6817 Dogwood Road, Windsor Mill, MD 21244. These achievements and notable practices will also be highlighted in a 2016 Yearbook of Maryland Manufacturing Champions, to be distributed to legislators, educators, media, and others vital to the industry’s support.

Your “Champion” nominees should be companies, organizations, agencies, projects, or individuals that best represent one of the following nomination categories:

• Accelerating product or process innovation
• Increasing growth through visionary leadership
• Contributing to their communities
• Creating products that improve our lives
• Creating a positive culture of change management
• Attracting and engaging STEM students for careers in manufacturing
• Employing an inclusive workforce
