Wallops Island Tour

  • This event has passed.

MEDA and Leadership Maryland have partnered to organize a tour of Wallops Island on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. Explore NASA’s principal facility for the management and implementation of suborbital research programs. Wallops plays a vital role in conducting aerospace and science research. The facility is NASA’s only rocket launch range, which supports missions for suborbital and orbital rocket vehicles while providing range safety, surveillance, and vehicle tracking communications.

Capitalize on the opportunity to explore a facility that houses over 1,800 employees. Although Wallops is located in Virginia, 50 percent of these employees are Maryland residents. This tour is free to MEDA members and registration is on a first come, first serve basis.

Register soon as the tour is limited to 10 MEDA members and 10 Leadership Maryland members.
