City of Hyattsville celebrates the local business community during Maryland’s 2021 Economic Development Week

HYATTSVILLE, MD – The City of Hyattsville will celebrate Maryland’s 2021 Economic Development Week (October 25 – 29) with virtual events and recognition of local businesses.

“Ensuring a diversity of businesses in every sense of the word is important to the City’s character and growth,” shares Hyattsville Mayor Kevin Ward. “We are proud to highlight our tremendous business community during Economic Development Week and look forward to continued collaborations to support Hyattsville business resilience and retention.”

The City will host its virtual Fall Business Roundtable on October 27 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. to share results from a recent Business Retention Survey conducted by &Access and Via Metrics. Hyattsville business leaders are invited to attend and provide input to build the City’s Business Retention Strategy. Registration is available at www.hyattsville.org/econ-week.

Throughout the week, the City will highlight economic development in Hyattsville with information from the Fall 2021 Economic Development Report (www.hyattsville.org/econreport), a virtual hardhat tour of the Kaiser Permanente building under construction on Ager Road, and celebration of the annual business Certificates of Recognition.
