About You
I was born and raised in Mississippi, but have lived in Salisbury, Maryland for over 27 years . My wife and I are raising five wonderful kids, and we love going to the beach at Assateague Island, hiking, camping, and have been very involved in a free English-as-a-second-Language (ESL) program in our community for the last eleven years. I started my career working ten years as a sheet metal worker, installing commercial HVAC systems, and have worked in sales in the energy and construction industries for the last 11+ years. I hold an MBA from Salisbury University, and Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). I’m a huge Georgia Bulldogs football fan.
About Your Work
I love finding ways new energy infrastructure can lead to meaningful outcomes for businesses and communities. I enjoy working collaboratively with customers, public agencies, and community partners to identify practical energy solutions that support economic growth. Seeing an energy project help lower costs, improve reliability, or make an area more attractive for investment is especially rewarding.
About Your Organization
Chesapeake Utilities has served customers for more than 165 years and provides natural gas service to residential, commercial, and industrial customers across the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Delaware. I am proud that our organization emphasizes safe, reliable, and secure service while continuing to invest in the communities we serve. We deliver energy that makes life better.
About Your Current Role
As the company’s Key Accounts Manager for the Delmarva region, I work with customers, businesses, developers, and other stakeholders to understand their energy needs and connect them with clean, efficient natural gas solutions. A key part of my role is bringing together customer objectives, utility requirements, and project economics so that opportunities can move forward successfully. It is so rewarding to see projects through to completion where collaboration supports both an individual customer and the wider community.
About Your Economic Development Journey
My economic development journey includes seeing firsthand how access to reliable energy infrastructure can influence business investment, institutional growth, and community development. Projects such as expanding natural gas access in Somerset County demonstrated how collaboration among utilities, government agencies, educational institutions, and local leaders can produce broader regional benefits. I hope to continue building relationships across Maryland and helping advance energy solutions that support sustainable economic opportunity.
