Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation to Announce New Program to Assist Local Businesses

Each year, the Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA) designates a week to focus on the importance and impact of economic development throughout the state. In conjunction with this year’s Maryland Economic Development Week (October 26-31), Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC) will be participating in and sponsoring various business education and networking events around the county. Area entrepreneurs, executives, and business managers are encouraged to attend these local events.

Whether you are just starting your business, growing your business, or sprucing up the look of your business, AAEDC has a loan program to meet your needs. Counselors from Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) will also be available to meet with business owners for individual one-hour client mentoring sessions. SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide.  Reservations are required.   Please call the chamber office at 410-766-8282 to schedule your confidential meeting with an AAEDC and/or SCORE representative.

AAEDC joins several other sponsors in supporting the Tour and Taste of West County.  The event begins with a development tour at 1:30 pm.  Buses depart from and return to the front of Maryland Live! The Taste of West County, which is scheduled from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm, will take place at Maryland Live!’s  Ram’s Head Center Stage. The reception will showcase more than a dozen of West County’s finest restaurants and caterers. Tickets are $65 for the Tour & Taste and $25 for the Taste West County only.
