Howard County Innovation Center to Host Startup Grind’s 3rd Annual Startup Showcase

COLUMBIA (July 8, 2019) – On July 31, Startup Grind Columbia will hold their 3rd Annual Startup Showcase at the all new Howard County Innovation Center. This event will draw 200+ regional business people together to network and watch Mid-Maryland startups pitch their businesses for prizes.

“We are looking forward to hosting Startup Grind’s Annual Showcase at the Innovation Center,” said Lawrence Twele, CEO of the HCEDA. “These are the types of high-energy community building events that we want to take place within the Innovation Center. We could not be more pleased that Startup Grind chose to work with us on this event.”

Startup Grind is the largest independent global community of more than 3.5 million passionate and creative entrepreneurs in 640 chapters and 130 countries. The Columbia, mid-Maryland chapter includes 1,800+ entrepreneurs, founders, startups, emerging, and high growth companies, investors, educators, and influencers.

The Howard County Innovation Center is an all new service offering for the businesses and entrepreneurs of Howard County and the surrounding region. The facility, located at 6751 Columbia Gateway Drive, houses the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship, the HCEDA, the Howard Tech Council, Howard Community College, SBDC, SCORE, and the MITRE Viking Lab. Designed to be a one stop shop for business, the center provides a wide variety of services and events to support the growth of businesses in every stage.
