President and CEO of BGE to Speak at MEDA Summer Conference

As one of our valued partners, MEDA is thrilled BGE’s Calvin Butler will serve as our keynote speaker at the Summer Conference. As an attendee you will have an opportunity to hear about BGE’s examples of creating unique systems and programs that bring big benefits to communities.

Calvin Butler has served as Baltimore Gas and Electric’s (BGE) CEO since March 2014. Prior to his current position, Butler led BGE as senior vice president of regulatory and external affairs. In that role, he was responsible for executing the company’s strategic direction and cultivating relationships with the government, regulatory agencies, communities and other key stakeholders. In keeping with the summer conference theme (Creating Ecosystems that Encourage Opportunities), Butler will share the many ways BGE has worked with businesses and communities to create programs that inspire innovation and transform lives.

He will discuss programs such as:

TouchPoint Baltimore– a network of neighborhood-based collaboration centers developed and funded exclusively with business and private resources.

SEED Program– an innovative program that gives qualifying customers a 25 percent reduction on their demand and distribution charges for both electric and natural gas service.
