MadeInFrederickMD.com – Manufacturing Matters in Frederick County
The Frederick County Office of Economic Development (OED) unveiled their new website, www.MadeInFrederickMD.com today. According to Jodie Bollinger, Director of Business Retention and Expansion for Frederick County OED, “We are excited and thrilled to unveil a new website that provides the necessary tools for the manufacturing industry to start, expand and locate to Frederick County. I believe this is the first of its kind and stemmed from hearing the needs of the manufacturing industry. This is truly a collaborative project with all the parties involved sharing a common goal.”
OED worked with our local business community as well as our Frederick County Government partners for the project. Octavo Designs created the new logo, Postern developed the website and #provokebetter and Frederick County Video Services produced the professional videos.
Manufacturing is extremely important to Frederick County and it is vital to our economy. MadeInFrederickMD was developed to strengthen and foster the growth of Frederick County’s manufacturing industry by providing resources, connections and tools to succeed in a global environment.

- A job board for manufacturers to post their opportunities
- A searchable business directory
- A video highlighting a manufacturing leader
- An online event calendar and blogs to highlight the industry

MadeinFrederickMD provides the opportunity for manufacturers to post their job opportunities in one location. The site provides a wealth of information on manufacturing resources including workforce and training programs, funding and global expansion services. A searchable business directory is available which also lists our manufacturing champions. Each month, a video of a manufacturing company will be placed on the homepage starting with our leading craft beverage manufacturer, Flying Dog Brewery. The videos highlight the company and the people who MAKE the products.
