Tenable Network Security Plans Major Headquarters Expansion

Cyber company to occupy 150,000 square feet in Howard County

BALTIMORE, MD (November 17, 2017) Tenable™, Inc., one of the nation’s fastest-growing cybersecurity software companies, is planning a major expansion at its corporate headquarters in Howard County. The company plans to occupy 150,000 square feet of Class A office space at the Crescent Development, located on Little Patuxent and Snowden River Parkways in downtown Columbia, with a move-in ready date by early 2019. This expansion would add hundreds of full-time employees to Tenable’s existing workforce over the next few years.

“We are proud to join Downtown Columbia’s new Merriweather District as it continues to grow as a vibrant destination and to reaffirm our long-standing commitment to the State of Maryland that has fostered Tenable’s growth since the very beginning,” said Steve Vintz, chief financial officer of Tenable. “Our move to Downtown Columbia will provide a live-work-play environment for employees, accommodate future growth and allow our company to be part of the area’s exciting transformation.”

“Tenable’s two major expansions in recent years demonstrate their continued commitment to investing in Maryland,” said Governor Larry Hogan. “With hundreds of new jobs on the horizon, this continued growth is further proof of our state’s highly-qualified tech workforce and Maryland’s reputation as the cyber capital of America.”

Since 2002, Tenable has provided continuous network monitoring to protect organizations and identify vulnerabilities around the world. With more than one million users and more than 20,000 enterprise customers worldwide, organizations trust Tenable for proven security innovation. The company’s customers range from Fortune Global 500 companies, to the global public sector, to mid-sized enterprises in finance, government, healthcare, higher education, retail, and energy.

“Tenable’s decision to expand its headquarters in Downtown Columbia is another indication of the momentum we have in Howard County,” said County Executive Allan H. Kittleman. “Tenable is a vitally important anchor business and source of energy and excitement as we continue to develop a vibrant, urban downtown and ensure that Columbia remains an important economic engine for years to come.”

“Tenable is a great success story for Maryland’s vibrant cyber sector,” said Maryland Commerce Secretary Mike Gill. “We’re very pleased that the company has chosen to stay and grow here in Maryland. No state is better equipped – or better positioned – than Maryland, for cyber companies to address emerging cybersecurity challenges and to strengthen the security of our nation.”
